The NOF Best Practice Awards for Excellence in Weight Management

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES:   27 AUGUST

The National Obesity Forum has pledged to continue presenting awards which celebrate outstanding success and excellence in Weight Management.

Recognising the diversity of exceptionally good practice in tackling obesity
and reducing cardio-metabolic risk, we are offering four categories of
entries for the 2010 awards:-

  • Childhood and Adolescents
  • Workplace
  • Primary Care
  • Community

    Research Award - £16,000 for 2010

    DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 20 JUNE

    NOF have teamed up with Weight Watchers to help practitioners get started in research – as long as it is relevant to obesity management.  Not only is there an award worth £16K– but also access to an experienced  researcher to steer you through the research process.

    The Nursing in Practice Awards 2010

    The Nursing in Practice Awards 2010 will reward best practice in a variety of clinical areas, and are designed to recognise excellence and innovation in the primary care setting. Applications are invited from individual nurses or teams of primary healthcare professionals who have undertaken projects to improve the quality of care for groups of patients in the following clinical areas:

    Cardiac Care • Children's Health • Diabetes • Mental Health including Substance Abuse • Weight Management • Care of Older People • Respiratory Care • Sexual Health • Wound Care • Team of the Year

    We invite all of you - nurses and teams working in primary care - to submit a short report outlining your work to participate in this year's Nursing in Practice Awards and the chance to win £250!
