NHS imports giants scales for the obese

Scales currently available only in the USA and Canada are being imported by the NHS to cope with the weight of the most morbidly obese. They boast extra high digital reading displays so that larger patient’s stomachs do not obstruct the doctor’s view!
Needs must – and the NHS should be doing more to prevent individuals getting this size. To-day is the day that the Coalition promised to publish its strategy on obesity but, yet again, a vital public health strategy has been put on hold whilst it “ listens “ to ideas aimed to sort out the NHS as a whole.
